I received word from Tom Gossard who, as many know, runs a small business called Quill and Ink Books, that he has a few copies of "The Imprint Accipiter" available for $55 (with free shipping to U.S. locations).
He sent me a notice that will be appearing in the April Hawk Chalk, but I figured I would give everyone here a little advance notice.
Tom indicated that the books are new and are signed by the author. His mailing address is: Tom Gossard, 1608 W. Bonita Street, Payson, Arizona 85541. He doesn't take credit cards, only checks or money orders.
I'd prefer not to post his phone number, but if you want to contact him by phone, PM me and I will give you that information.

First edition would be cool but I want the knowledge that the book has first.

No kidding...This whole deal rings of a scam in my mind since he only deals in paper and not credit plus he has all these copies available?? How did this happen? I am still willing to send him a check, but I will be waiting to hear if anyone else gets it first. If it starts to smell like a fishy deal, I will cancel that check so fast it will bounce all the way back to Texas....Otherwise, I am happy as a pig in....mud...

I can assure you that Tom Gossard is on the level. He's been selling falconry books for a long time and is a long-time NAFA member. I am expecting my copy in the mail today and when I get home, if it's there, I'll confirm it for everyone.
Unfortunately he is in fact sold out. Apparently the response from my posting was overwhelming. Congratulations to those who were able to get a copy and my apologies to those who were not.

A couple more things about Tom Gossard. He is not in the business to make a lot of money (as you can see from the price he is charging).
He's just a guy who deals in falconry books on a small scale, which is why he doesn't accept credit cards. He usually buys a number of copies of a falconry book when it first comes out and sells them over time.
He could easily have jacked up the price to what it is selling for on e-Bay, but as I said, he is not in it to make a killing. He is a true gentleman and simply enjoys what he does.

I spoke with tom for a bit when he called me back. I can attest that he does sound like a guy who is on the level. Not a fast talker, and i've met more than my share. We also talked falconry for a bit, and im completely confident in sending a check to him. I even offered to send him cash and he declined. Hell, i even pointed out what they were going for on ebay, and he said that wasn't how he did business. Sounds like a good guy to me.
Again thank you jon, and i don't think we have anything to worry about.
